I've never seen a company that was so quick to fire it's employees. There are no formal corrective action protocols in the organization's policies and procedures. One day a person is working and the next day he is being escorted out the door in utter bewilderment. There was even a case where an employee was fired but paid extra to suffer the degrading experience of training his own replacement. Now does that make any sense at all? If the employee's performance was so poor that he needed to be fired, why would any company think it wise to have that same individual train the new hire? Not surprisingly, his replacement came on board and was also promptly fired within a few months of starting the job. The company was cobbled together from a series of acquisitions and has continued to operate as 5 or 6 separate organizations. There have been no attempts to migrate to a single set of systems yet management ignores these obvious obstacles and plows forward with various initiatives to homogenize and consolidate departments.

Argo is nothing more than a financial playground for the Executives. The company cannot afford bonuses or cost of living increases for the employees, but they can afford a private jet? With only a few exceptions, the Executives at Argo treat the employees like lesser human beings. It's also worth mentioning that that same Executive team is primarily made up of a bunch of old buddies, college frat brothers, and prep school pals. I was in Management at Argo, so I got to see the dark side of the organization first hand.
