Pros

This arts non-profit organization provides opportunities for local artists to get paid to play as well as opportunities for the general public to attend concerts.

Cons

The work environment is toxic and staff don't tend to stick around too long because of this. The manager has expectations for things to be done his way and his way only, which is understandable as he owns the business, but these expectations should be met with an understanding that not everyone chooses to work the same way. So while we are willing to learn a new process, the manager needs to understand that there may be a slight learning curve/adjustment, as well as we need to be told what to do. There were many times where I'd ask the manager how I could redo a project to his liking and he wouldn't tell me, either out of passive aggressiveness or something else. It was like constantly playing a guessing game over and over again until he decided it was completed the way he wanted. The pay is also incredibly low, with no option to work full time.
