Pros

Assisting customers is the only reward

Cons

Like others, I was hired on as a Senior Technical Support Engineer. The pay is below average. I was promised a 5k bump, bonuses, and a $250 health stipend at the end on the 90 day probationary period. There is NO training. On day 2 I was expected to jump in without any knowledge of the system or customers. Owner gets easily frustrated, lies to customers, offers little if any assistance if you need it. At the end of my probationary period, I was let go without cause. There had been no warnings, no review, no critical feedback, no mention of things I need to work on, nothing to indicate my job was in jeopardy. All I got was that I did not meet business expectations. I knew of at least 3 others who had been in the role prior to me. Without realizing it I had been set up to fail. I brought in numerous business opportunities, had only positive interactions with clients, and my performance numbers were acceptable and increasing. This is not a way to treat employees who are the bread winners for their families. Do not work here unless you want to be another statistic.

Pros

Possibility to learn about various networking systems and interact with a variety of clients. No physical labor required.

Cons

Beware, this company has gone through employees for the Technical Support Engineer position like they are disposable. There is no training or training information, management literally says "Google it" as a solution to solve what would take a 4 year Networking degree. The pay is dismal and you will be promised benefits and bonuses but they are nonexistent. The owner/manager becomes easily frustrated when you ask basic questions and will do very little to assist you but rather watch you fail and become frustrated only to use that against your performance. As well the position is salary and I would work 45 hours a week where the other employees only worked 40 but I never received any thanks or appreciation. Advice, although you might gain a bit of Networking experience, you could gain more from watching youtube videos. Stay away from this company as the owner needs to step down and hire a real manager.
