Good pay, smart people, fast-paced learning environment
Pros
BestEx Research pays very well compared to similar roles, and compensation was always fair and timely. The company also made consistent efforts to appreciate employees through goodies, small perks, and thoughtful gestures, which genuinely made people feel valued. This is also a complete WFH role :) Work life balance was relatively good for a finance and trading support role, especially given the nature of the business. You get exposure to real market scenarios and learn a lot very quickly. The people you work with are extremely intelligent and driven. You are constantly surrounded by smart, capable individuals, which pushes you to grow and sharpen your skills. Because the organization is small, you also get hands on responsibility early in your career and visibility into how the business actually runs.
Cons
Since the role supports the US market, late night shifts are part of the job, which can be tiring over time. The work can become hectic, especially because it is a lean organization , everyone depends on you, and there is very little room to slow down. Work pressure can be high during busy market periods, and flexibility around holidays is limited. Because the team is small, taking time off requires careful planning, and backup is not always available. The fast pace and high expectations may not suit everyone, especially those looking for a slower or more structured environment.
