Pros

Can make good friends of same age range, social lifestyle Good tips Uniform and laundry service Team diner Discounts on park Fast progression Good training and initiation for new team

Cons

50 hour+ weeks on your feet running about the restaurant like a lunatic Heavy staff turnover leading to often working with either miserable staff or inexperienced Angry guests Higher expectations than necessary Lack of positive mentors, everything they taught on Roadmap seemed to go out the window once you were a month in Managers seem stressed and unhappy

Pros

Free uniform and that’s literally it

Cons

Zero hour contracts without saying the words so they still look good to the public, pick and choose when to send you home because they care more about maintaining their profit margin than their employees being able to pay their bills. Minimum wage as standard with no clear sight of improvement, machinery constantly broken and they won’t pay a service to fix it even though maintenance are never there to help so it’s down to the lowest rung staff to put up with it. Being gaslit constantly because we get blamed for management’s mistakes. If you’re a kid fresh on the work scene and you need training they’re okay, but anyone with enough experience to recognise a terrible place to work will spot all the red flags pretty quickly, ‘we’re one happy family’ my arse.

Pros

Discount, nvqs, onsite accom, good fun

Cons

You're just ALWAYS ALWAYS UNDERSTAFFED, managers treat staff so harshly considering barely anyone turns up to the interviews to begin with! Least popular cult in Britain. Managers have been there for so long and lazy and stick to their 7-4 5 day weeks and expect team to work as dogs. Head of department in a boys club lots of casual sexism, inappropriate discussions and doesn't have a clue what he's doing, straight out of Life on Mars or something
