Pros

Nice people (in general), small company, great location in the downtown area

Cons

The COO, Glyn Owen is a nightmare. Do not work for him. Lack of diversification into other areas outside of FAA, benefits are lousy.

Pros

Some Interesting work. Good people for colleagues.

Cons

They attract good talent, but can’t hold onto their people. They pay poorly in comparison to comparable positions at other companies. There are no opportunities to grow your career here.

Pros

CGH Technologies, Inc. is a woman-owned government support contractor. They get quite a few contracts in the aviation industry, particularly with the Federal Aviation Administration. The company offers a good benefits package.

Cons

This company has VERY high employee turnover. They do not relate well to their people. Their HR department is hideous!!! There is absolutely no opportunity for any sort of advancement within the company. Internal communications are nonexistent.

Pros

Some good mid managers to work for. The location is close to a metro (L'Enfant)

Cons

This use to be a decent company until Operations (former HR) came along. The company was not that bad in the beginning but a few bad apples that have gown with the CEO have ruined any prosperity. Its obvious to most that the leadership does not have much business awareness or understands the many dynamics of running the operations. They operate in fear and give favors/special treatment to the ones that give them information mostly bad on other employees. Any person that gains any type of traction, operations/Resource will find a way to knock that person down. The CEO has allowed this to happen and takes part . Too many good people have come and go for CGH. Its a problem that keeps going and cant simply be blames on 1-2 people anymore as they try to do. Incompetent leadership leads to lost contracts, turnover, bad systems etc.... The leadership seems to be surprised that they have lost 2 contracts of more then 100 people. Maybe if you focused on business more vs. all this time meddling in everyone eases business, you would be at a better place.

Pros

Most if the people were nice to a point.

Cons

Management was crazy, dead projects. While CGH stands for " Commercial , Government and Home" they only seem to work on the government side of things. If you asked for time off, they would call you back to work during your vacation if they could. No, original ideas. Anyone that's was a good worker has been let go, if they got lucky the FAA picked them up.

Horrifying

Pros

Some of the PMs there are nice, but there is a high turnover rate, so you don't know what you're going to get.

Cons

The atmosphere is one of frantic fear and paranoia. Everyone is afraid for their jobs. People with no management skills are allowed to run a team to the point of making it counter-productive. Also, the company does not care about its employees. I had been warned before I went there, but chose to disregard the warnings. I wish I'd listened.

Poorly Managed Company

Pros

Location is decent and metro

Cons

This company is headed in the wrong direction. They are headed in the wrong direction because of poor management, poor communication and processes. There is also lots of concern with how they treat employees. Human Resources is everything but Human Resources and seems as if leadership only knows proposals and little about leadership. The people around the CEO are not qualified and milk everything that is available. The reviews are accurate and too many not to take notice. They refuse to change because they don't have the capabilities to change so operate from fear. Approach with lots of caution and be careful of what they promise in their interviews.
