Pros

The people, you can make some great friends at Cabot. Also the monthly 'fun budget' events are a good idea, that's about it!

Cons

Management and HR, awful school like culture which a large divide between management and lower staff. If you're not top management then the Board will have no idea who you are, no time for 'the little people'. Minimal consideration for 'work/life balance'. The starting pay is terrible for the level of work expected and don't expect a decent pay review or bonus (unless you're a manager!) HR are corrupt and will have you dismissed or disciplined if you try to raise concerns. If you have other options, go elsewhere!

Many thanks for taking the time to leave a review on our Glassdoor page – we appreciate your feedback. We are sorry to hear that you did not enjoy your time at Cabot. We have recently addressed the pay in the Worthing site to ensure we are in line with market rates. We have a very robust Disciplinary and Grievance process to deal with any complaints or inappropriate behaviours from any of our employees in any of our teams. Any such complaints would be taken very seriously and thoroughly investigated.

Pros

Training is ok and interesting Working environment is modern Swanky postcode offices

Cons

Long hours in the dialler cold calling 'customers' Company tag line is 'bad things happen to good people' yet it's encouraged to squeeze the last £1 a month out of a debtor dying of cancer because, well targets. Illusion of being ethical but anything but. Scripted telephone patter with veiled threats of further action. Doorstep collections. Much high fiving and chest bumping when targets are met. However they are met. Target structure pretty impossible unless you work extra (unpaid hours) Face fits environment. People who suck up to management get promoted to team leaders. People who work hard but don't get ignored. Result is plenty of 20 somethings in shiny suits managing teams without any credentials to do so. Workplace bullying rife. Very poor wages for hours/stress/effort. Board of directors happy to park Ferraris outside front of offices. Ferraris bought by squeezing a few quid out of people who in most cases are on their knees in misery. Soul destroying place. Don't fall for the shiny exterior it's battery farming with humans.

Pros

NONE, there is nothing good to write about Cabot!

Cons

Terrible work hours, which are not appreciated by anyone. If you go above and beyond your usual role, it is just expected that you will continue to do this and no one ever says thank you. The pay is shocking and you will never get a pay rise. You are also marked down on your year end appraisal in order for them to meet budget targets regarding bonuses, so don't expect much. Incompetent management and the higher up you go, the worse it gets. Management do not care about any of the employees and their progression.

We do care about our employees and we do encourage people to progress within the company – over 80 people have moved roles or been promoted into new positions in the past 12 months. The bonus and pay review process is incredibly robust.
