Lack of Proper Training:
1. Both as a leasing agent and later as an assistant, I was not given adequate training to perform my duties effectively. This lack of preparation made it difficult to meet expectations and led to an unsatisfactory work environment.
2. Low Pay and Lack of Incentives:
The compensation was insufficient given the workload and responsibilities. Implementing commission-based pay could greatly improve motivation and job satisfaction among employees.
3. Staffing Issues:
The company faced significant maintenance staff turnover, which resulted in inefficiencies. For a community of 100 apartments, adequate staffing is critical to ensure smooth operations and to reduce strain on office staff, who are already managing leasing, evictions, and other responsibilities.
4. Communication and Transparency:
I was never informed directly that my job performance was jeopardizing my position, nor was I given constructive feedback to improve. Clear communication and support are essential for employees to succeed.
