Pros

Work from home flexibility .

Cons

No motivation because salaries are low for 2-3 years already. They kick out the best Seniors developers. I am still in shock how some of the employees who are still there, got so high on seniority levels - testers and devs - and dont know the OOP basic algorithms. They will never leave because other companies won't hire them as Seniors. Just pathetic. Thinking to apply there? Try to avoid for some time. Only Juniors are accepted.

Pros

The company has good benefits. There are also some interesting projects where you can learn and develop with great teams, focused on delivering good quality.

Cons

The company wasn't focusing on profit so everything on surface seemed to work. Its easy to keep work life balance when there is no pressure on delivering or on making profit. From the moment they were bought by the Interim group, the pressure to make money came along and all the values and principles written all over the walls were broken. Management in Romania was focusing to show how good their people are comparing with colleagues on other sites and why they need to invoice more money instead of collaborating and focusing on delivery. Due to their strategy, they also managed to encourage complains against Netherlands and sustain a toxic attitude in the projects. Further more, when people were fired in Netherlands, they send the message that everything is fine in Romania and the site will not be influenced by it, without even thinking that, if people and projects are closed in Netherlands, development in Romania will go on the banch. Few months later, when management couldn't reach the targeted profit, they started firing people by changing the rules of the game 2 months before evaluations, calling them underperformers over night without any other feedback until that moment and with no history of this behavior. They hustled people into signing their resignation, silently, pressuring them, messing with their mental health. They fired 20% of development by silently pushing them away, even if in the projects they had good feedback. It was all based on feedback and decisions taken in Romania based on comparison and on who Romanian management considers difficult to collaborate with from their point of view.
