Pros

Great opportunity to grow in human services, build connections with county resources, amazing teammates, rewarding work. Pay was recently raised to be competitive with other organizations. All in all, great stepping stone for a career in social work.

Cons

Your experience will be drastically different depending on who your direct supervisor is - some are very micromanaging and others are completely hands off, so you may or may not get someone who you work well with. I think the biggest flaw is that some case managers have brought concerns/frustrations with management to other supervisors and it's fallen on deaf ears. When people quit, you'll hear management talking about former case managers as the problem rather than addressing the issues within the management team.

Pros

Helping homeless people get off the street. Working with community partners and law enforcement. Most people actually care.

Cons

Trying to utilize corrupt and inadequate services and very limited resources. Informed on a need to know basis, and apparently you don’t need to know.

Pros

Wrongfully terminate employee’s if they don’t like you, it’s a pro because nobody wants to work here. Highest turnover rate of any similar organizations.

Cons

Cliques and get promoted based off of being friends with the other girls. Ran by catty women and men who don’t have a backbone.
