This is a consultancy company that sells a very 'old in the tooth' software tool. Software sales come off the back of fixing data problems that no-one else can be bothered with. Bottom feeders is a good name for the business model - if there was one. The underlying software code is 17 years old and it shows in the performance. The management is spineless and driven by one individual more interested in their own personal power, totally driven by narcism and not much else - i.e. can't back it up with experience or success. This clueless approach to strategy means that the company is tactical at best but usually can't even get alignment on how to do that either. Mulesoft did some due diligence on the business in 2017, with a potential interest in acquiring the company - needless to say they ran a mile when they realised what they were dealing with. The product doesn't stand up to scrutiny and is 10 years behind the market. The management team doesn't stand up to scrutiny either and the financial performance is going backwards. This is a one man show - and this is not the CEO - but that man will single handedly take this business to the brink of oblivion before he is rained in. Unfortunately for the employees at CloverDX it may be too late when the CEO finally takes some authority and makes the hard decision that needs to be made. No company has room on the exec team for self centred narcissists that can't back up their opinions with anything other than anger when they don't get their own way. Very sad to see a company with potential being left to ruin at the hand of one person with no true knowledge of what it takes to run a successful business.
