Pros

If you are fresh out of college and enjoy working in an unsupervised call center environment, this may be the right company for you.

Cons

- Complete lack of training. - The owner/manager was rarely present in the office. When he was in the office, he would either show up late due to drug/alcohol abuse issues or would close the door to his office to work on side projects unrelated to Comcentric. - Complete lack of employee appreciate or recognition programs - Base salary + commission offered for employees is over $10k below the industry average. Raises are only given due to favoritism (friends/girlfriends who worked at the company) or due to fear or an employee quitting. - Extreme metrics-driven environment with unrealistic goals. Calls are monitored live on the owner's desktop and reported on daily. Most likely due to the fact that he's never in the office. - Lack of quality client relationships. Most of the AM's time was spent chasing new business, because Comcentric does not have a book of loyal clients. This is frustrating for recruiters, as a large amount of time is spent working on positions that receive zero feedback. - Owner lacks maturity and business sense. He would often throw fits and lash out at employees. On a couple occasions, he would come into work late and discuss his "one night stand" in detail with employees.

Pros

- Comcentric is located in the Park Ridge Suites right off of Lincoln which isn't a horrible location and the office space itself is very nice.

Cons

- CEO and Founder dated an employee - The only management is the CEO and Founder which creates a very hostile work environment as no one can voice potential positive changes or suggestions without being reprimanded (there also is no HR department) - The base pay is incredibly low and not competitive with market rates - Ridiculously high turnover; the office is small to begin with and generally only has 5-6 employees on staff. During my year there, 10 employees came and left - Was voted best place to work back in 2012 because there were only a small number of employees staffed and they were instructed and required to vote positively

This review like the other 4 written by the same person within a several week time frame are intended as a smear campaign against the owner by a former employee that was fired for substance issues. As you see, there are no other reviews (good or bad) in the 12+ years in business. It's a shame that Glassdoor allows this type of activity to happen on their site without policing it....

There is High Turnover for a Reason

Pros

It will open the door into recruiting. There are some nice coworkers.

Cons

I felt micromanaged and under appreciated. Lots of pressure and nearly zero boundaries. I witnessed several employees getting yelled/cursed at by the owner of the company. Base pay is a joke, one of the lowest I've seen even for entry level. Commissions paid out to employees were nearly always incorrect which was beyond frustrating to not have trust in the company to pay their employees correctly. High turnover for a company so small. During my short time working here I saw an almost an entire staff get cycled through and for such a small company, that raised way too many red flags for me to continue to stay. Overall the culture, pay and opportunity doesn't lend itself for long term employment.

Hello, we appreciate the opportunity to address your concerns. Comcentric pays Entry-Level Recruiters $50K guaranteed base salary plus commissions, which above the going base salary for Entry-Level Recruiters on Glassdoor, however our average Recruiter makes between $80-110K after their first year in total compensation, which is well-above the industry average for Entry-Level Recruiters. Comcentric takes all concerns seriously and we are sorry to hear about your situation. We invite you to email us at info@comcentric.com with details on your situation so we may investigate the matter further. Again, thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us.
