      30% of the team cut in anticipation of covid

      Pros

      Company level staff are all good to work with ( Constellation owns a lot of small software companies and has regional managers managing them)

      Cons

      The young proud manager whom my CEO had to report to had no idea how to run the business. He cut 30%+ of the team in anticipation of covid but in the end the company did well. Because of the cuts it could not deliver and got sued by its biggest customers.

      Great for accountants and managers ... Poor for software development

      Pros

      - The company do pretty well on stock exchange - Managers and accountants get promoted easily - Growning business buying small IT companies

      Cons

      - The worst salary I saw on the IT market for a software developper - They buy IT companies to produce more and more profit, but they don't care about their growth after that. - No professionnal development possible for IT people (Except if someone leave the place!) - Hard to get a salary raise even with experience here (2% annually with a low base salary when hired) You remember the James Bond movies featuring an evil company wanting to grow and control everything ? I think it's the company in North America that is the closer to this description !

      Pros

      Constellation Software, Inc. is a fairly large, small company with many divisions. It is a holding company and that may mean that it might buy a company without the intention of growing it.

      Cons

      The management team seems to be very focussed financially/market driven and does not seem to be as focussed upon its "human capital" or its customers.
