Great for: -entry level job -adding new antibody discovery skills -opportunity to interact with other client companies -great opportunity to attend important conferences within the field -brainstorming new ideas and implement them at the bench
Cons
Terrible at: -project management largely disconnected with bench scientists -certain directors/group leaders do not lead by knowledge nor example -stop hiring PhD level scientists that do not contribute anything other than bad company culture -terrible work/life balance -new protein group leader PhD does not know anything about protein science -high burn-out rate of bench scientists
