Pros

- Travel reimbursement - Multinational company - Decent (not great) pay - Work with luxury brands - Some basic discounts

Cons

I currently work at Dufry’s US corporate office in Doral, FL. Unfortunately, morale is pretty low here and most non-management employees are unhappy. Here’s why: - Management is extremely unapproachable. There is no open-door policy here. Huge egos among management are the norm. Most of the top brass sits in Switzerland, but when they do visit the Miami offices, they make no effort to engage with the employees. Unless you’re in upper management yourself, “thou shalt not” address any executive directly. - Training is poor. You’re basically thrown in the deep end of the pool and expected to learn how to swim on your own. And what’s more, managers have no tolerance for the learning curve for new employees, even with the lack of formal training. And collaboration is frowned upon here. Ask too many questions while you’re learning the ropes, and you’ll get a reputation for being incompetent. But don’t dare make a mistake, otherwise you’re screwed. - Office space needs improvement. Our offices in Doral are in a converted warehouse that looks like it hasn’t been updated since the 1980s. The building is old, dusty and full of mold (good luck surviving here if you have allergies!). Word is that we’re moving to a brand new facility soon, though I’ve been hearing that for years. I’ll believe it when I see it. - Low morale and poor employee relations. Morale is very poor here and despite the HR talk about fostering a great corporate culture, the reality is the opposite. Snarky behavior and whispering behind co-workers’ backs is common here. As a result, most folks here are on edge and don’t know who they can trust.

Pros

Most of the people were fun to work with.

Cons

Upper management is terrible. They don't know what's going on and what's more they don't care. I worked for this company for 8 years and it was the worst 8 years of my life. There is no work/life balance and too bad for you if you have something planned and they decide to schedule something at the same time. You will be expected to cancel any plans that you have made. There is no consideration for the employee. It's not a good work place to work. I've never been so happy to leave a company. It's a toxic work environment. Very disorganized.

Pros

1) Great entry level job. It's a perfect place to start if you have no experience in sales because you will receive proper training and have a wide variety of resources/workshops available in order to learn everything you need to become a qualified salesman. 2) It looks good on your resume.

Cons

1) Salary is a joke. You get paid minimum wage yet they expect you to prioritize your life around them. You also only get an abysmally small amount of commission from the very high sales quota you're required to meet. 2) They won't accommodate your schedule regardless of your circumstances. 3) Management is a mess and there's a lack of communication between the supervisors. You'll literally get in trouble for WORKING. One supervisor will yell at you for trying to fold clothes / re-stock/ clean up your area because you only need to be focused on attending customers but then another one will also yell at you if the shelves look empty or if the store is untidy. 4) Say hello to mandatory overtime and kiss your social life goodbye.
