Pros

Instead of having lay-offs to fix their ongoing, massive failures, they systematically fire people for "performance" reasons.

Cons

If someone is supposed to be a manager or executive of a company.... and they spend company time, money and resources trying to launch their own, separate company, and they're never at the company that's hired them and not doing that companies work based on their job description.... wouldn't that person get fired...? Why doesn't hat happen at Dyn...?

Pros

Cool toys, rock climbing wall, game room, putting green, segways that you never have time to use. Unlimited time off but everyone feels that they need to check in from vacation or are shamed into not taking more. 'Free' lunch Tuesdays that are paid for with poor compensation.

Cons

Never have I seen a management staff so disconnected from the reality of the business. Basics like a budget escaped them until this year. Classes in 'KDA" or Keeping Dyn Awesum are a sham. Right after one of these classes where they discuss bullying and protected classes (like over 40 year olds) one older gentleman needed to take a few days off for his wife's medical treatment. Stuff went wrong while he was gone but he came in to fix it, but his young boss, instead of just pulling him aside and discussing it, pulls him into a meeting with HR to put him on the road to unemployment. They even joked about how they would screw him out of collecting unemployment even though they said they would allow him to collect. Back stabbing goes on all the time and throwing each other under the bus is an olympic sport. Don't dare say anything negative against the choosen few or you too will be on the list. Speaking of older workers they are consistantly put down behind their backs and at networking events I have heard that the DYN crew walks in like their poop does not stink and ignore all older workers and only talk to the younger ones. They are seeking an IPO or buyout with wizz bang stuff but they ignore the technical debt thet is left behind. There are servers that have not been turned off for over 5 years and they are afraid to turn them off since there is no backup for them. Pay is way below average. Hr had the nerve to write down that the added free lunches, free beer, medical insurance, dental insurance and other perks were why salaries were so low. Contractors get a 20% pay cut to come on full time, something I have never seen before, 0 to 5% yes, 20% no way.
