Pros

The company is very passionate to resolve the consumer debt problem in U.S. The company also provides decent benefits.

Cons

There are several people there that have been working an entry level role for years, but the company is constantly hiring external candidates for junior and senior level roles. These same external candidates end up leaving in less than a year while the loyal employees never get a chance to grow.

Pros

other than my colleagues, not much else.

Cons

Toxic working environment created by one of the people in leadership. Leadership wondered why product doesn't come out fast enough. Leadership did meetings with employees to figure out why. they said it was caused by remote work. A bunch of people got laid off, especially those who have issues with a particular leader of eng (though he definitely doesn't have leader quality). and then they hired contractors from South America. They said the issue was remote work, then they replaced their full time employees with contractors from South America 🤯. You should work here if you can get along with this person, just not my cup of tea.

Pros

Some great, smart passionate people. Most have left or been laid off, very few still remain.

Cons

The company after the layoff remains top heavy. The execs do not know how to handle conflicts, resolve difficult situations or work with people in the company with different ideologies. The execs have not been transparent, given false hopes, fed the company lies and this has led to the company's downfall. The company culture and product vision is so far removed from the mission; most people working here care about improving the financial system and making a difference.. but that is no longer the focus of the company or the exec team. Honestly, there is a lot that i can say.. but really this place has been a disappointment for the time that I have been here, in more ways than one.
