Pros

Pay is decent, and flexible schedules make it worthwhile to work in this toxic environment.

Cons

Upper management is shady and they don't live up to the companies core values. To move up within the department I worked in, you must kiss a** and God knows what else. Politics and discrimination are evident here. If you were previously in the military expect favoritism and an easy on boarding process, you don't even have to have much skill or experience. Management bends over for military personnel and overlooks competent and skillful employees who are committed and knowledgeable.

Pay is Horrendous

Pros

Flexibility of schedule and ability to work remotely when needed

Cons

Well below average pay, I'm talking 20k+ lower than other companies for the exact same job title and description. Zero training structure and poor communication from upper management to their direct reports. There's a good deal of favoritism which leads to a loss of respect for those in senior roles because they can't be trusted. Procedures are constantly changing but nothing, and I mean nothing, at this company is ever documented so you're always just winging it and hoping for the best. It used to be a better long term career option but all the top talent has left and things have gone downhill since USB took over.

Pros

This is a great place to work. Being a part of US Bank is great! Several positions remain remote!

Cons

Heavy workloads. Upper management has no problem piling on additional work, adding and/or changing procedures. There is basically no work-life-balance.

Pros

Elavon used to be a good place to work, with interesting work and competitive pay. However, there have been executive leadership changes both at Elavon and the parent company, US Bancorp, and it seems their focus is now on cost-cutting rather than growing the business.

Cons

7 consecutive quarters of layoffs. Replacing American workers with offshore. Executive leadership changes. One of US Bank's slogans is "We put people first" and it used to feel like that were true, but no longer. Now you just feel like you are a replaceable, interchangeable droid and they will eliminate your job on a whim. Every time you get a last-minute meeting notice from upper management with no agenda, you know it is yet another layoff.

Pros

Plenty of opportunities to advance as this department has personnel moving up to other departments. Just have to prove yourself to upper management.

Cons

Have to really stand out to get noticed by management. Pay could be better for the cost of living in the area.

Frustrating if you have goals and want to progress your career

Pros

* Pay was okay for my position, but someone else doing my exact same job made $10K/yr more (even though I have a college degree and the other person didn't, roughly the same years of experience). Because its owned by US Bank who does business in CA, the entire company nationwide now has a $15/hr min. May not be much in other areas, but for Knox that's not bad. *Flexibility for appointments and WFH (again, position dependent) *Short commute *A wide range of benefits, including health/dental/vision/401K match/pension -- they are owned by US Bank, so benefits are a perk.) *Casual dress code (jeans, office-appropriate shirt) *onsite food trucks almost daily

Cons

*FAVORITISM. This is, in my opinion, the biggest con for the company. If you are liked, you can probably move up. If not, you're not going anywhere, regardless of education, experience and other qualifications. It's all about the job title and who you know. They often make a hiring decision the minute the req is created, before even posting the position. But they still let you waste your unpaid time away from work to go through multiple rounds of interviews. *Insurance is expensive for what it is. *You get pigeonholed into your role and often cannot progress your career to move up. *Raises are rarely more than the standard 2-3% cost of living raise every year *Bonuses for most of us exist, but have been MIA or far reduced the last few years. Execs are still getting $50-150K annual bonuses though. *An employee was not only sleeping with her boss, but had been since before getting the job that he/she wasn't qualified for and didn't actually do. The relationship was exposed in the workplace, with photo and video evidence. The manager was allowed to quit in lieu of term, and the employee still has a job. Not only that, the individual was promoted. Why? Because an immediate family member is a member of upper management. *Once they decide they don't like you, they make a concerted effort to ensure you are regularly scapegoated, in hopes that you will leave on your own.
