Lots of turnover at the company. People very suddenly "gone" without any notice. At first I thought this was just due to the high commitment to privacy in terms of company values. Having spoken with several former 1Password employees.. many people that I consider caring, personable team players that were highly effective in their roles being fired without valid reasons. Stories of PiPs given where there is "no chance" that the employee will be able to follow the plan and keep their role. After leaving the company, this phenomenon of staff just ghosting with no announcements seemed more ominous. From what I could notice this seemed to happen to a lot of folks falling into the DEIB space (though I may just have personally been more connected to folks in that group, consider that report anecdotal) Lots of turnover in upper management.. CMO changes and total swings in strategy. Overall I couldn't recommend trusting management or HR, especially in the marketing department. I trusted the process, reported to HR that I was feeling unreasonably pressured and gaslighted by my manager, then was let go days later despite never have received a warning for job performance or a negative performance review.
