Pros
Fairly good core products, fairly safe work environment, and somewhat balanced task load.
Cons
Unsupportive HQ staff, especially on Visuals Team and Retail Buy team. These teams do not listen to what is happening in the retail field. We keep getting loaded with products that aren’t selling because they’re “skinny tactical jeans” that no one really wants and don’t make sense for our core customers. Then we have to merchandise them according to a photoshopped planogram that makes no sense and is difficult to actually shop through (why would you put tshirts 6 feet in the air where no one can reach them? Or make up signage which is confusing to customers such as “50% OFF” in big bold letters misleading the customer on what product is discounted, but then “BOGO on hats” in small print at the bottom?). Also, why can’t we have a tech system that works for supporting online sales? Why is it that during our busiest promos, we’re always having problems with discount codes or we can’t seem to figure out how to keep our ship-from-store system working causing huge strain on retail store teams? And then we get the lamest “sorry this happened, we don’t care about fixing it, and please stop making these mistakes” email to follow up with. All of this adds up to poor experience for staff which translates to poor experience for customers. Right the ship and hold these people in HQ accountable who can’t seem to do their job.
