Pros
My (lateral) coworkers are friendly.
There are good benefits and a lot of PTO.
Cons
- I feel that my manager is not accessible, although they say they are and to ask for help anytime.
- Manager is significantly late every single week for 1 on 1 calls. They are the one who requested and set the calls. I feel my time is not respected.
- Company is up for sale. Nobody directly addresses this elephant in the room. Just vaguely say they haven’t heard anything. But suddenly a lot has changed. I asked my manager about the changes. I felt they were irritated by my questions, and dismissive of my concerns,
- Restructuring has led to confusion about who is supposed to be doing what and when.
- Overall feeling of unease, and sudden silence from leadership, feels like a lack of transparency. Telling employees that everything is fine (and that’s all) does not help:
- I don’t think there’s really much upward growth, if that’s important. Some people don’t care.
