Pros

APL used to be one of the top five brands in the international shipping industry. We were legendary for providing the best customer service in the industry. The pay and benefits were good, and we (Customer Service) were respected for what we did for the company and empowered to do our jobs

Cons

Leadership has almost run the company into the ground. They largely ran blind, not seeking or listening to feedback from below. They mismanaged IT infrastructure projects, wasting tens of millions of dollars. Then they had the genius idea of trying to turn a Cadillac brand into a Walmart brand, at a time when almost the entire industry was losing money.
