I also agree that communications can become spotty when you have 300 people trying to get a lot of work done. We're always trying to get better. As for the bonus, you're correct that monetary bonusing kicks in during your 2nd year, however we still handout $200-300 in "bling" at the year-end to 1st year employees. This usually includes backpacks, jackets, etc. We delay bonusing because most workers are still in the process of getting trained for their jobs in year 1. Year 2 is where they begin to shine.
