I started working for Acacium Group back in January 2013 as a mandatory healthcare trainer, delivering training for healthcare professionals out in the community. What has really stood out to me over the years is how much the organisation invests in development. I’ve been given opportunities to gain new skills and qualifications, all fully funded by the company—including becoming a Mental Health First Aid Instructor, completing my Level 2 in Self‑Harm and Suicide Awareness and Prevention, and achieving my Level 5 in Operational Leadership. Career progression has been a real highlight. I was promoted to Senior Trainer in 2014, then to Training Manager in 2018, and most recently to Group Wellbeing Manager in 2021. Wellbeing is something I’m genuinely passionate about, and stepping into this role has been incredibly rewarding. I’ve even had the chance to travel to the U.S. to deliver wellbeing training—something I never imagined I’d get to do through my job. On a personal level, Acacium Group has always supported me through difficult times. Whether it was making reasonable adjustments to help me recover from operations or the compassion shown by leaders when my Dad had a heart bypass, I’ve always felt cared for as a human being, not just an employee.
