Pros

Manager, Independence, Free lunches, Trust, Hands-on training

Cons

You are expected to do emails, notate accounts, and retrieve items from the printer down the hall, all while taking back to back phone calls without EVER putting any clients on hold! You have to stay logged into the phone the whole time, so a lot of clients wont stay on the phone while you are processing their requests just because you already got all of the verbal information you needed from them to make this happen. When they hung up, the next call automatically comes in, and sometimes you are way down the hall at the printer! You have to answer the call asking for their account information, but you can't even look it up when you are still down the hall at the printer, and not at your computer. You still have to notate the previous account when you get back to your desk, before you can move on to the current phone call. So you have to: 1)take back to back incoming calls and process requests 2)complete a list of outgoing calls 3)Complete a list of emails all without ever putting any clients on hold. Sadly, the job became impossible! Without identifying specific individuals, some management was intimidating, and some yelled WHEN YOU WERE ON THE PHONE WITH CLIENTS.

Pros

- The people are generally very kind and collaborative broadly. - I believe the company is genuine in its mission to only earn profits by helping everyday Americans move forward on the path to a better financial future. - The company at large and some of its leaders aren't afraid to try things and then pivot if they don't work to try something else, instead of doubling down over pride or ego or stubbornness.

Cons

- There's a lack of clear and strategic leadership that leaves job ambiguity, which places the employee at a disadvantage with performance measurement, which is how they award quarterly bonuses. Without clear SMART goals, it becomes a game of bring me a rock, but not that rock. - Towards the end, they were implementing a start-up entrepreneurial mindset style that was leaning away from valuing work/life balance and getting more demanding and desperate in attempts to meet metrics.
