Pros

You have a whole lot of freedom. You determine your own hours and can take off work whenever you want.

Cons

It is straight commission. The work is extremely hard. Door to door sales is not meant for everyone. A lot of companies already have Aflac or they are not interested at all. They promise young kids when they come in that if they “work hard and increase activity” that they could make six figures in a year. That is dead wrong. The associates only make up to 40k if they’re very lucky. Everyone else is in the 20k region. The district coordinators and the regional bosses are the ones who make all the money off of everyone and they are the ones who make six figures. Don’t be fooled. You’re better off getting a solid salary job elsewhere

Pros

Freedom to be your own boss, trips, bonuses, renewable income (instead of one time commission), career instead of just a job. FORTUNE 500 and a World's most Ethical Company. Great training (at least here in Wyoming) and a family mentality. Great family/work balance.

Cons

No base pay, can be a slow start at first, you have to be very organized and self-driven, have to be licensed in life and health to sell insurance (but my management help with the process).
