The pay was good and for the most part my coworkers were too.

This job was genuinely the worst, most stressful, and most ridiculous job I have ever worked. I started working here right before my freshman year of college and the store leader constantly disregarded my class schedule and would tell me to choose work over school. Starting off the job wasn't too stressful and the only downside was that my hours were super weird (sometimes I would only be scheduled for 3-6 hours a week even though my availability was for 15). But as time went on I started getting scheduled for more and more hours until I would have to work 13-14 hour shifts that would let out and midnight and be forced to come in the next morning at 5 or 6 a.m. Whenever I tried to bring up concerns to management I was shut down and screamed at because it was "my problem I chose to go to school". I quickly became othered by management and given the jobs that nobody wanted because I had other committments outside of work. The store leader and some of the management would also frequently comment on my weight and tell me that I needed to put on a few pounds or "enjoy being skinny while it lasts", something that I let them know bothered me deeply but they continued. The company also swapped their schedueling system halfway through me working there which caused me to lose all my approved days off. I gave them all the days off I needed when I was hired and the SL told me that I'm young and can handle working 8-9 days in a row while some of the "older employees" deserved breaks. Although I was the youngest employee there, all of us were within 5 years of each other. Next, the store manager started to schedule me upwards of 35 hours a week, way over the 15 I had available, and threatened to reprimand me if I didn't comply. When I told her that I could not work 35 hours a week as I was also a full-time student she told me that I needed to get over it and put my big girl pants on. They also created a dresscode that said you needed a certain amount of makeup and no chipped nail polish and no "unkempt hair", which in my case meant curly. Finally, at the end of my employement there I had given the store manager a 3 week heads up that I would have to leave at the beginning of the new year as I would be moving on campus for school. She refused to take note of that and continued to schedule me past when I said my last day would be. When I tried to talk to a different manager about my concerns she said I was being "disrespectful" and told the store manager I was "talking about her behind her back" prompting the store manager to send me a text that said "Hey girlie, I heard you were talking about me. You are unprofessional and disrespectful and should know better than to mess with me." I quit on my next shift.
