Pros

Could be a good opportunity for professionals at the beginning of their careers who want to gain experience and add a strong global brand to their CV.

Cons

My experience at Amazon was, unfortunately, the worst professional experience I have had so far. While the company is globally recognized and can look attractive on a CV, the internal reality was extremely disappointing from an employee perspective. The work environment was highly stressful, with constant pressure, unrealistic expectations, and very little genuine support from leadership. Mental health and work-life balance felt completely ignored,m. Over time, this had a significant negative impact on my well-being and motivation. Compensation was also far below what would be expected considering the workload, responsibilities, and level of pressure. In addition, the benefits package was very limited compared to other large international companies in Europe, especially for roles that require high performance and full-time office presence. Career growth opportunities seemed inconsistent and heavily dependent on internal politics rather than merit alone. Recognition for employees’ efforts was minimal, and the overall culture often felt cold and transactional. I would not recommend this company to professionals who value mental health, fair compensation, and a healthy working environment.

Pros

Really smart people, a lot of opportunity for growth, always encouraged to be innovative, think big, and create something new. Competitive salary and benefits with other major tech companies. 100% self motivating work environment. No dress code and 4 legged friends are welcome.

Cons

You have to be self motivated. NO ONE will hold your hand and tell you that you're doing a great job. If you need constant affirmations from management, this company isn't for you.
