Pros
Pay is ok In general, managers and leads are fairly respectful in the way they speak to employees
Cons
Targets are set way too high, and the amount of work you are expected to do is ridiculous. Expecting people to walk 15+ miles a day on concrete floors, up and down stairs, with only a 15 minute and a 20 minute break is asking way too much. By the end of the week, you are totally exhausted and run down, especially in the summer, when the heat in the warehouse can be excessive. It makes you wonder why anyone would want to work there, when they could earn the same or more money elsewhere for less than half the workload. Patronizing 5 minute brief at the beginning of the shift where you are asked obvious questions about safety that everyone knows the answer to, because they ask the same questions EVERY day! I understand the importance of safety, but you lose the will to live before you've even started to get down to any work. It is seriously like being back in primary school. Also, there is a thick layer of bullsh*t constantly hanging in the air, and you feel as though you can never really express your true opinion, unless that opinion happens to be a positive one towards Amazon. Security staff in general are unprofessional, unfriendly and intimidating.
