Cons
If I want to share cons, there are lot many than the pros are. No growth for associates and trust me recent changes in the organisation structural changes has reduced the hopes and opportunity for growth. Group managers and above mangers behaves as monarch and insists associate to adhere metrics which are irrational. Associates performance are gauged on customer's response, which is tough to achieve. Group managers tries associate to terminate for each and every silly reason and trust me, people who are group managers and above will only decide metrics on historical data not on current situation and behavior of customer which is not correct for a company which has so called tag line " World's most customer centric company". Amazon is only customer centric but not employee centric because salary wise it is worst, I been working in the organisation for nearly to 2 years with a salary package less than 2 L and increments wise it sucks. I dont understand why amazon degrade customer service associates where they are the only employees who tries to put amazon on top infront of customers. Seriously salaries are worst -- no rational increment -- politics every where and loads of partiality. Only few associates are given opportunity to grow who are very close to group managers. Salary in India for 2L is really disappointing. No talent acquisition, only partiality acquisition. People on top level management who actually dont know how to behave properly to their peers and associates as well and also dont understand real time situation in customer support department with customers and amazon hires them just because they come with MBA from a famous university. Work life balance has mixed opinions and higher level management dont even think about associates. Seriously really very disappointing. We hardly encounter with HR, so no point of talking about them. There are lot many to say about company cons but it is waste of saying because no actions will be taken even if we shout on the issues. So for now thats it. Such a big organisation is forcing us to take VCS( work from home) in a project for cost cutting. This is a biggest con
