Good compensation, mundane work, and bad politics. - Seasonal Warehouse Associate Amazon Employee Review

Pros

$15 an hour, if I remember correcly you get an additional .50 or a dollar if your schedule is outside of normal work hours. It's easy work if you're not in a full-fledged facility. The little events were nice for employee morale, food, giveaways, etc. Benefits are also good. They're open to hearing ideas to improve technical things on how the facility is run (not behavioral)

Cons

My location ONLY had part time for non-management, ambassadors were in ugly competition with one another, mangers gossiped with associates, and the work is so mindless. Only two managers ever attempted to train me to do things beyond what I was already doing because they could tell I have bigger potential. Then circling back to the ambassador competition some were hesitant to fully teach what they know because that's seems like more competition for them.

Pros

Really smart people, a lot of opportunity for growth, always encouraged to be innovative, think big, and create something new. Competitive salary and benefits with other major tech companies. 100% self motivating work environment. No dress code and 4 legged friends are welcome.

Cons

You have to be self motivated. NO ONE will hold your hand and tell you that you're doing a great job. If you need constant affirmations from management, this company isn't for you.
