-Nitpick your role, policy violations on the fly (that might not apply to your department in writing -managers are not leaders. Leaders invest in people, ITS has onyl a select few that choose to invest in their teams -To be noticed, impact in work applies on a global scale before it becomes a promotional scale. -Managers will give you items to hit for promo, but then will backtrack if the goals are hit and say they can't support a promotion -Accommodation support is hit and miss -HR is not there for you, only for the company
