Pros
The culture of Anaplan is unique because it remains very entrepreneurial even though the startup days have long past. If you have a self starter attitude, you can really thrive here. I find that if you learn to advocate for yourself, are ok with ambiguity, and think creatively, this is a place with limitless opportunities. People are generally nice as well and I've had many co-workers boomerang back to Anaplan during my tenure here. Layoffs after the acquisition was disappointing but expected, much was due to a more focused product strategy and re-orgs associated. TB is making big investments in bringing in good talent to our eng and product orgs, which has actually been a nice change.
Cons
The product is a rocket ship and that means a lot of change every year or so to keep up with it. The fact that we've had to scale quickly to meet customer demand over the years unfortunately means our tech debt has piled up as well, which can be a challenge for ops, devs, and product. You'll need to adapt and learn to roll with the waves. No equity package for anything below Director level.
