Product Misconceptions, a lot of propaganda, and much domineering one-upsmanship all over. For example, Appian (and others) claims to be a low code development environment, but in my role, it was anything but if you wanted to configure robust workflows. The out of the box apps were way too generic and had little functionality. When giving demos we were instructed not to show how to configure using code, which is really the only way to build some apps. By saying things over and over again, the managers believed that we would eventually think these things were true. If we ever tried to demo outside of the corporate guidelines, we were reprimanded. So, no room for creativity and not the place to be if you have trouble with overbearing authority. Senior execs are sleazy and disconnected with a younger workforce.
