Pros

The employees are all pretty cool and get along well. WFH flexibility. Good Center City location. Some cool clients.

Cons

Partners are not professional. Partners are not on the same page with HR policy and pretty simple employer/employee communication. Major micro management. Little trust in employee talent and ability. Being "let go" over the phone - not very respectful nor professional. You never win with one partner's crazy.

Pros

Arcus provides you with a unique opportunity to decide what you're most interested in, then gives you the freedom to run with it once you prove you deserve to do so. They care about what each employee's goals are and encourage you/provide you with the opportunity to go after them. There's room for growth, competitive pay, freedom to work from home when needed, opportunity to travel, and they acknowledge that each person has a life outside of work (which I didn't experience at previous larger agencies I worked at). They expect you to carry your own weight, be a team player, and manage your workload; do not expect to be babied. They don’t discourage questions, but you do need a sense of independence to figure things out on your own when needed. Some people aren't built for a job like that/require more structure, and in my opinion that is what caused some of the negative reviews I read.

Cons

It's a newer company, so things like project process, HR resources, I.T., employee manuals, etc. are still in the works, but I have seen improvements since I started and it's not much of an inconvenience.

Pros

The employees work well within their teams, I learned a lot about designing for the pharma industry, great location right downtown

Cons

The scope of the project is not made clear. The project management systems they have in place fail often, and employees are expected to work around around these with no improvement plan in place. There is no set project process and when there is, timelines change without notice and scope adjustments are not made. The partners often disagree on the scope of the project and will give conflicting direction to project teams. Glad I didn't spend much time here. But now I know what red flags to look out for in future positions.
