Pyramid scheme is the right way to describe it, just as others have said. One person said it is well hidden when it really isn't, as it took me just a few days to realize what this company was all about. Should have realized something was fishy from the interview which involved him interviewing five people at once lol. Just a total con man.
Also, watch out for any positive comments as they have asked employees to write them to bump up the average. In fact, you can even look at the dates of the positive reviews and see that there are a bunch that are written the very next day after a negative review gets listed on here! This is the type of fake and toxic culture that is promoted at Ascension. It is truly is a terrible company and people are constantly coming in and out. Do yourself a favor and run! I'm glad the first review marking this as a scam has been so positively received and been marked helpful so many more times than any of the positive reviews, to hopefully save other prospective applicants from this grotesque company!
