Pros
Since 2002 Asobo has been synonymous of quality and experimentation, both in its numerous independent projects and within its large partnerships and tie-ins (Microsoft, Hololens and Pixar, just to name a few). The team is made up of seasoned veterans and exceptional specialists (and generalists when needed) with the in-depth pipeline know-how needed to pursue their ambitious quality goals despite what may appear as limited resources compared to the huge majors - all of it supported by editors and tools internally developed and increasingly improved over the years. I've immediately felt welcome and had the opportunity to work on a project that really resonated with me, with greater responsibilities and the possibility of being involved in the discussion and submit my ideas.
Cons
Much of the workforce is (at least at the moment) predominantly French, as well as the internal communication and part of the documentation - this can be a bit alienating at first if you're new to the language, but the warm support from the team (as well as the provided lessons program in place) is enough to make the transition as smooth as possible.
