Pros
Nothing - when the client speaks ill of the agency directly to you as soon as you start - that's a major red flag
Cons
-The Managing Director, Valerie Davis, doesn't know what she is doing - and will be condescending to the whole company even during this whole COVID-19 pandemic - she spoke as if mental health/work-life balance was not a thing employees themselves and the company should care about and what we should care about is PROFIT AND MONEY for the company - she literally called a question regarding Summer Fridays disingenuous for even being asked and that we need to just work longer hours - ZERO EQ for someone who should be leading the company -Actual job doesn't match what you interview for -Lack of transparency -Company is trying to be an integrated digital agency, but only can execute Paid Search decently. The integrated account I was on, was and is still an absolute mess with no process, not enough digital knowledge being led by extremely weak, blind leadership with no actual media background -No training -Will hire a new employee for a particular position without telling the employee they are the only person within the company in that department - so be prepared to ask for additional resources and be met with "huh, what? you need more people to do a job that in other agencies require a full team, yeah.. we don't have the budget nor are we looking to give you a team to help you") -Company is full of "lifers" or folks who have spent their whole career there with no experience from the outside world so they cannot see how backward this agency is -Higher ups are not qualified for their titles/positions/pay - they have directors all the way up to SVPs who can't speak to what they actually are supposed to be leading -Favoritism and nepotism rampant -If you are experienced in the field and come in with ideas to help fix pain points, improve overall processes, create much needed processes, call out things that don't make sense, call our things that are being done incorrectly, etc BEWARE because you will get a lot of push back, be seen as a problem child, and if you want to make any change you're alone because no one will actually help you - managers will "listen" to you, but won't take any proactive measures to solve anything -High turnover with new, talented folks, while the weak stay because they don't know any better -HR department is non-existent and do not know what they are doing. -HR tried gaslighting me regarding pay - Managing Director and CEO said an effective date during a Company Wide meeting and HR tried gaslighting me on the date I heard saying they didn’t say what they said and that I was imagining things. Then they took it all back and apologized. -Can’t be a good employee here because you’ll be taken advantaged of. Their version of a “good employee” is one that aligns with their horrible morals.
