Pros
I couldn't find reviews for the firm ACG tax, LLP, so here it is:
+ Free daily lunches (and sometimes dinner in busy season), fully stocked kitchen
+ Pretty competitive pay
+ Clean office
Cons
(-) Typical boring public accounting work. Absolutely no work life balance, even if you finish your work early they typically expect you to stay until 6:30-7 each day, and obviously much later when busy season starts
(-) Administrative staff gossip too much, often times about the employees. This creates a very unprofessional, catty corporate culture
(-) Subpar training for new interns, coupled with a Sink or Swim attitude when starting real work, can make you feel overwhelmed quickly.
(-) Everyone must know how to do all kinds of tax returns, instead of specializing in certain areas like the Big 4. This basically translates to being overworked for the same pay and less opportunities than Big 4.
(-) Doesn't look like there is a lot of upward movement. Many of the managers hailed from Big 4. Seniors who started as recruits doesn't seem to be moving up anytime soon, unless they can get some Big 4 experience.
