Little choice in work, strong chance of never working in your field, management will try to pigeonhole you into a specific skill set

Thanks for pointing this out. Consulting can be synonymous with variety – which also means that not every project will be the same in terms of skill needed or experiences gained. However, I don't see this as a bad thing! Giving employees the opportunity to rotate skills and try something new is important to Avanade and helps keep all our employees' skills relevant in the market. Let me know if you have any more questions or comments and I'd be happy to discuss further: adam.wengert@avanade.com.
Company really cares for their employees, development, and culture
Recognition for good work
Cons
Consulting in general is not what it used to be
Accenture big brother is quite bureaucratic and obnoxious managing 'profiles'
CEO is in London but HQ is Seattle
A really nice office with perks and company culture that come from Accenture.
Cons
There is a prioritization with getting certifications and doing a lot of tasks outside of full time client work, just to get promoted. If you are in the bench and it’s a slow season, there is a high risk of getting laid off. You will lose your sense of purpose all for the trendy AI culture. The company thrives on buzz terms and marketing solutions rather than actually solving anything.
