Pros
Avanade is a nice place to grow your career and get experience in the consulting industry. Gaining different skillsets from different projects is a nice way to continue learning. The company also emphasizes continuous learning and growth through the form of certifications and training opportunities.
Cons
On the flip side of project-based work, Often you won't be staffed on a project that plays to your strengths. The bench period can be tough and you may end up joining the first project available. A lot of this depends on market conditions and the ability to land a project that fits for you. Another con is that because people in different locations are often working on different projects, the in-person collaboration aspect is not as prevalant - which is why the hybrid/remote working system Avanade has works well. Since the pandemic, it seems as though a lot of clients have adhered to strictly working remotely - can be a pro and a con depending on the stage of career you're in, as some people enjoy being a traveling consultant and others prefer remote. Very reliant on Accenture due to 70% of project opportunities coming from indirect business.
