Pros

They are very supportive of young professionals and emphasize a learning and development culture. If you are in a business unit that matches your passion and experience, you can have a great experience at BASF. Even though the company is very large, it still has a small community feel because many people stay with BASF for their entire career.

Cons

If you are not a chemist or a chemical engineer, your ability to move within the company is much more limited. BASF could use more diversification to allow for more mobility of professionals with different experience.

Pros

Great benefits, hybrid & remote roles, great colleagues to work with. Great vacation /time off. Helpful colleagues

Cons

Reorganizations (roughly 3 years), IT roles dwindling in North America(moving to India), teams can get very silo-ed, “not my role” = not helping you (when you are looking for answers/assistance), currently seeing a lot of movement out of New Jersey (roles moving to other parts of the country), some organizational charts can be confusing, huge organization(can be difficult at times pinpointing the exact team you may need to work with)
