Pros
Good work/life balance, good benefits and perks such as free membership and good discounts on products with employee discounts. Pay is above average compared to other insurance offices in the area and there are regular bonuses and pay increases. There is a good training structure and support available.
Cons
Sometimes it can feel like your micro managed and asked to accomplish a lot for one customer (asking for new business, emails, dates ect) yet also expected to remain within preset standards for time spent on particular transactions. You are expected to jump to taking phone transactions if they are busy and your office is not which can feel chaotic at times. The expectations for phone transactions can also feel a bit heavy handed and your calls are then listened to and your coached on them which again can feel a bit micromanaged. Its not always a smooth transition trying to jump between calls and in person either and can feel stressful. Other insurance offices have more set hours, and BCAA has more extended hours which some dont mind but I would prefer a more set schedule and not being there till after 6pm.
