Pros
What an exciting company to work for - save and sustain lives. But we actually live this, aside from placing it on front door step. New CEO is out to make this company get better, and cutting edge. The old management we had that ran the company was good, but not for the current economy and where Baxter ought to be. The company has a lot of reserve cash, out to make acquisitions and build a stronger pipeline. Tons of technological changes occurring, letting go of individuals that are no longer competent and bringing in new talent and vitality. If you want to join a leading Medical Device company, this is it.
Cons
Until the management that has been here for ages is removed, there are some pockets that will be tough to change. However, the new CEO and investors are closely managing this, so I am sure this will be fixed. Quality in the supply chain process has to be addressed, and old systems need to be quickly discarded. Proper pricing model needs to be implemented across all platforms, and more importantly any new acquisitions or synergies have to be carefully thought out.
