Good negotiable entry level pay range ($16-21/hr). The corporate office is not in the congested downtown area. Clean office environment. Clean bathrooms. The people are very friendly & eager to assist. There is also an onsite cafeteria. Free parking. Strong training programs. Strong possibility to move up in higher positions quickly &/or be a part of process improvement projects.
Cons
No cell phones in the call center. They cannot be visible AT ALL or you will face termination. If you absolutely need to check your phone, you must first ask your supervisor for permission. You are not welcome to eat a short 30 min lunch at your desk. There are no breaks. I repeat, NO BREAKS. You work a 37.5 hour week. This company is obsessed with something called a "Clarification" which can be a simple question on an order. Ask about the clarification process in your interview. (Demand DETAILED information on this process) If you get 6 or more in a year, you face termination. If you are late by 1 minute twice in your first 90 days, you face termination. I have seen a few good quality people being let go due to this. If you park in the front lot, you face termination. If you spend too much time assisting a customer where it affects your "readiness" you face termination. You have sick time, but if you want to use it, you must come in to work on the day you are ill & request to go back home otherwise it will be a non-approved call in which you may be subject to termination. Brady is VERY strict. I repeat, Brady is VERY ridiculously strict. The many rules & lack of office morale & flexibility of the work/life balance is not attractive to a millennial. There are many people who have been with the company since the 90s which most of the culture, policies & décor seem to be from as well.... Its an OK place to work for decent pay. I'd recommend that you take the job & use the given paid vacation time to keep looking/interviewing..... oh & only 2 people can be out for vacation in a day. You have to schedule vacation time several months in advance since the calendar is booked up. Even if it is a funeral (bereavement). Or you can ask a coworker to not go on vacation that day so you can.... goodluck with that. If not, you face termination if so many are not approved(6). You likely will also have to sit & eat lunch with people you dont know because there arent enough tables in the cafeteria. .... The products are very extensive & may be difficult to understand to someone slow to learn.
