Overworked, Underpaid, Poor leadership - Case Manager Bright Start Employee Review

Pros

The families and people I met while working

Cons

It is painted as a flexible, work from home job. Most of my time was spent driving with pennies for reimbursement. Training was awful. I was left to the wolves. I felt unsafe in some environments. The bottom line was always meeting quota. Who cares if you have PTO? Meet those point requirements! Your kid is sick? Figure it out. Oh, and there are people who definitely work from home with their kids, but if you're not a favorite, you will be hearing from HR about it.

Pros

As a mother, I've always put my kids first. This job allows me to continue doing that while allowing me to have a career. Bright Start allows flexible hours, working from home, a communal office space, 24/7 help from supervisors and CEO's, and compensates for mileage! I have been at jobs where I felt less-than, guilt-tripped, and unsupported. Bright Start is the opposite! I have a rewarding, supportive job that prioritizes work/home life balance. I can't imagine working anywhere else <3

Cons

I know it sounds crazy, but I haven't experienced a Con yet. Bright Start aids employees coming in and moving on to other opportunities. When Bright Start makes a change, CEO's and supervisors do their best to give lots of notice via email and text. I think one time Bright Start gave employees short notice on the change in health insurance benefits, but that's the worst of it. To do this job, employees definitely have to be fast learners, customer-service ready, very organized, and love working with kids. I have seen coworkers start this job and struggle with the caseload; again, Bright Start continues to support their employees' education within this field. Make sure you're ready because it's game time!

Pros

The peers that you work with are pretty exceptional; they are always willing to step in and lend a hand or listening ear. The bonus program is pretty decent and better than most in the area.

Cons

The leaderships focus is not and will not be on their employees. It is about making sure you are making your monthly quota; the family can say anything negative about you and you are immediately blamed, but behind the families backs comments are made about them. They were a company that stood for work-life balance and strong mental health awareness. Now they let their employees know that they will be there for the families and the business. They WILL NOT have your back. And it has consistently gotten worse in the past 6 or so months.
