Avoid working here, terrible culture in my experience - Finance Manager Brink's, Incorporated Employee Review

Pros

Nothing of note, staff outside of the senior leadership are nice people

Cons

In my time there, management created an extremely high-pressure environment where people were consistently pushed beyond reasonable limits. Workload concerns were routinely brushed aside, and instead of addressing the burnout happening across the team, management kept demanding more. Promises about career progression and improvements to working conditions were made repeatedly but never delivered — not just to me, but to multiple colleagues I spoke to. It felt like these promises were used more as a tactic to keep people hanging on rather than as genuine commitments. The overall culture was dominated by fear and instability. Job insecurity was constant, and conversations about people potentially being fired were so frequent that it felt like part of the everyday atmosphere. This created an environment where people were stressed, demoralized, and always on edge.

Pros

The job is easy and we’re closed if the banks are closed, the insurance benefits aren’t bad either

Cons

Management is a nightmare, they will throw you under the bus at a moments notice. They tell you to do things against company policy and when they’re caught you get into trouble for it. HR? A joke, I’ve gotten verbal threats of bodily harm from my supervisor for small mistakes that I end up fixing because she can’t be bothered to do her job and HR will not email me back. I’ve tried going to the branch manager and he just makes excuses for her. We have 10 hour days 5 days a week because she refuses to do her job so we have to pick up the slack. We also only have 6 people doing the work of 10 on a daily basis because they’re cheap and won’t get more equipment and hire more people.
