It's a paycheck. Get on the right desk, under the right agent, and it can help you in your next career move. MAYBE. But don't bank on it.
Cons
Management begs everyone to write reviews. I imagine the new positive reviews are either: people standing over their shoulders while they write them or HR making false claims. They don 't have interns in LA - trust me, people have begged for them. They claim that only the NY office can have them. IDK why the one review seems to brag about there not being a mailroom as if that's a good thing - There's no way to get your feet wet or learn anything before your put on a desk. The assistant training system is terrible. This isn't a good place to work if you want to be an agent - they will not promote you. Ever. They may hint at it, but it will never happen. If they ask you in your interview if you want to be an agent - just lie, because they WILL NEVER PROMOTE YOU. Not that most assistants deserve it. Don't let the female CEO fool you - sexism runs deep here. The men are treated like kings (and most of them suck) and their egos are booming - sexual harassment is definitely a problem. The morale in the LA office is extremely low; it will eat you alive. Most assistants quit without another job lined up. Many that do leave are forced to work at management companies afterwards bc no one else will hire them.
