Pros
I have been reading some of the reviews about the acquisition and I can speak from personal experience going through about 7 M&A's over the years, especially being with a company for over 25 years as many CA folks have been. When a M&A happens, you lose people, things change, it's how business works at the top. It sucks, yes it does, but some of the perks (work from home, free breakfast/lunch, etc...) have to go away. The Broadcom acquisition was a great move for the company to move forward and re-invent themselves. Although you had great "perks", the business needed a refresh and that is what Broadcom brings. How can folks not be happy about a $+300 per share price and solid management backing for some of the Mainframe products that were supposedly EOL back in the 1990's? Come on, change happens and yes it sucks, but the future of the business i good and happy to continue being a part of it. Day 2 is quickly approaching and I foresee a bright future.
Cons
Only one is flexibility to WFH. No reason I can't fulfill my job duties from my home office and drive 90 miles each day.
