Your systems are VERY limited compared to corporate stores, so this will create LOTS of customer service issues.
Their "chargeback" system, basically if one of your clients cancels their contract within 6 months and the phone isn't returned, you will have the commission you earned PLUS the cost of the phone revoked. I saw people lose anywhere between $300-$700 per month from their paychecks because of this. (in all fairness however upon being hired they do disclose this chargeback system to you)
If something turns up missing, they take it out of the employees paycheck.
Up front prices of phones and accessories are much higher than corporate stores, making it that much harder to close sales (typically $50-$100 higher than corporate stores). The customers in a lot of cases have to do mail in rebates to get any cost differences back, which again creates lots of unnecessary customer service issues.
Floating to different locations is mandatory, sometimes having to drive 40-50 miles to work with no reimbursement for fuel. Also making it harder to see your referrals and client base.
It seems like they encourage a cut throat/unethical sales environment. Nobody is really disciplined or discouraged from stealing other sales peoples sales. Lying to customers is pretty common, i've seen quite a few people sell these "open box" phones to customers without disclosing it was a returned item, just so they can make a higher commission.
No vacation time.
All in all it's a decent place for a young kid to start out in sales, or maybe a wife who's using this as a supplemental income. . I wouldn't recommend this place if you're the main source of income for your family, or expect this to be a long term career path.
